General•Losing MySpace friends?!

  The band page I'm tracking shows significant drops in MySpace friends throughout the month - up to 217 in a day, but only a couple times a month. Does anyone know if MySpace goes through for maintenance and deletes expired accounts, or is anyone else having this problem? It's only on MySpace this is happening - every other social media site is steadily growing. Just want to try to understand what's happening, thanks in advance!
