  What's the difference between a Vimeo play and YouTube view?

  Hi David,

  The names around these are a bit confusing since different services call them different things. Here's how Next Big Sound counts them:

  A Vimeo play is counted after a video has been watched.

  A YouTube view is counted every time a user loads a channel page. And a YouTube play is counted when any video in a channel is viewed (played).

  So on Next Big Sound, plays for Vimeo and Youtube are both counted when a video is watched. And views on youtube are counted when someone loads the channel page.
