Hello there! I was introduced to your annalytics via Topspin. I absolutely love it... but there's one thing that has confused me a bit... while i've updated my profile here to include ALL my social networking sites.... the only one it ever shows data for is Myspace (for twitter, facebook, last.fm, ilike etc etc... the graph just flatlines and when you hover over the points it says "no data" is this a glitch? or is it still in development for those sites? Twitter / Facebook are undoubtedly my most 'active' spots for fan interaction... so it would be lovely to see some stats on them as well :)

I no longer see a place on NBS to listen to songs that have been submitted by artists. It looks as though there's been a sea change here, and instead NBS now only tracks metrics for internet traffic the artist or band is getting elsewhere, eg, last.fm, iLike, MySpace, Facebook, YouTube channel, etc. Does NBS no longer host the the artist's songs?

I am having trouble tracking plays and there is a new checkbox at the bottom labeled disco.

The only plays that show up are from the dicso box. According to this we have had 95007 new plays from Disco yesterday and 73743 new plays today. However, last.fm, myspace etc all show nothing.

The same thing occurs on the comments section.

Not sure what is going on or what Disco is.

I would like to suggest that you create a comparion on the website of all bands in one region. This way we could "predict" who will be the next big artist in Brazil for example. If we compare the growth, find patterns and evaluate whose popularity growes quickly, then we'll have the information. It would be great for the music industry !

Losing MySpace friends?!

The band page I'm tracking shows significant drops in MySpace friends throughout the month - up to 217 in a day, but only a couple times a month. Does anyone know if MySpace goes through for maintenance and deletes expired accounts, or is anyone else having this problem? It's only on MySpace this is happening - every other social media site is steadily growing. Just want to try to understand what's happening, thanks in advance!

I have been using NBS for a while now and currently i am getting the message that the bands are new accounts.

Eg. Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving was just added to Next Big Sound!

This is the same story for a few of the bands I track. Does this mean I will lose the stat history so far? I hope not.

My verified band's dosen't seem to work

I got my Verify approvel mail about 2 days ago, but it seems like everone still can edit my URL's and i can't find where i can edit the band pictures. I've tired to log out and log in again, but still dosen't work.

but the result is ever "not found"

Snow Leopard, 64-bit Safari, and preventing graphs from hanging up

If your'e on a Mac and it's running Snow Leopard then there's a chance your browser might get stuck when loading artist graphs on NBS. Here's how to make sure it doesn't happen or fix it if it's happening already:

1. quit safari
2. change safari to open in 32-bit mode (right click on the app in the finder and go to get info)
3. open safari
4. reset safari
5. quit safari
6. change back to open in 64-bit mode
7. re-open safari

You should be all set!
